Print Design - Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some answers to a few of the most regular questions people ask me about my graphic design service. If you can't find the one you're looking for, please feel free to contact me.
How much does it all cost?
If you contact me I can
give you a firm quote, but you can get a reasonable idea of the likely
cost from my print
design price guide in the meantime.
How long will it take you to design my business card/leaflet/brochure
etc?
I aim to meet any deadline set by you within
reason. Once I have all the resources I need from you - i.e. any text,
graphics etc that you intend to provide, the timescale is usually measured
in days rather than weeks.
Do you arrange printing?
Yes. I have trade accounts with printers, and will get you the most appropriate
and cost effective deal for your project.
What does your service include?
A bespoke design service that is unique
and won't just be a re-hash of something I did for my other clients.
Support and friendly advice. In short, you get value for money.
When will I need to pay you?
In most cases you won't need to pay a penny
until the project is completed and you have your printed items in your
hand. Some printers, however, may require payment up front. If the
project continues for longer than a few weeks, due to a delay in obtaining
information/files from you or other reasons, I may ask for an interim
payment.
Do we need to have a meeting?
It's entirely up to you. In many cases a meeting isn't necessary and
I can complete a project with just email and telephone communications.
I am based in the Hertfordshire / Bedfordshire / Buckinghamshire area
but I deal with clients all over the UK. I am quite happy to meet with
you if you are local to me and would prefer a face-to-face.
I'd like you to design something for me. What's the procedure?
Simply contact me for an initial discussion and we'll take it from there.
Once I've developed an overview of your requirements, I'll agree costs
with you and then begin work on the design. I will email you a PDF of
the first draft, then make any amendments you require and keep doing
this until you are happy with my designs.
