The problem
This is a business that helps RICS-regulated valuation firms implement and evidence compliance with RICS standards. Being a start-up meant there was no existing website, and the founder wasn’t sure what information potential clients would expect to see.
The business needed a professional online presence that reflected the founder’s expertise and inspired confidence among high-value, professional clients.
It also needed to explain what is quite a specialist service in a way that was clear, accessible and persuasive.
The solution
Rather than jumping straight into the design, I started by gaining a clear understanding of the business, its services and its target audience.
Working closely with the founder, I identified the types of clients the business wanted to attract, the questions they were likely to ask, and the information they would need before making contact. This allowed me to develop a logical site structure and a content strategy that guided visitors naturally through the services on offer.
With the foundations in place, I wrote the website copy, ensuring the language struck the right balance between technical authority and clarity. The design was then built around the brand, creating a clean, premium look that reflects the professionalism of the business while remaining easy to navigate.
The finished website positions Valuation Compliance Consultancy as an experienced, trustworthy partner for RICS-regulated firms and gives prospective clients the confidence to make contact.
What this project demonstrates
This project is a good example of the way I work with start-ups. Rather than expecting the client to provide all the content and structure, I help define the messaging, plan the information architecture and create a website that supports the business from day one.
The result is a website that not only looks professional but also communicates clearly and builds trust with the right audience.
